MATERNA, the information and telecommunications specialist, will be providing a new type of music downloads for 234 AG. Music fans can use a coded pre-paid card, called a music bon, to download the album they want at www.musicbon.de – without providing any more payment details. Download - stream - collect will be the motto. MATERNA Communications will implement and operate the technical platform for this innovative marketing channel using its Media Application and Content Server (MACS).
musicbon is a pre-paid card for music downloads. The individually-designed card can be purchased in all branches of the German retailer SATURN. Other shops will be joining them soon. Once the card is paid for at the cash till, the code is activated and entitles music lovers to download and stream their favourite album from the www.musicbon.de portal. All albums can be played on every computer and every standard mp3 player, or iPod. musicbon can also be purchased before an album is officially published, making it an innovative idea for a gift. Another real advantage to consumers: When setting up an account on the musicbon website, the whole of the downloaded albums can be listened to directly via the Internet browser. The streaming player, implemented by MATERNA Communications for this purpose, also allows users to set up a personal online music collection, that can be accessed from any computer connected to the Internet.
The Media Application and Content Server (MACS) from MATERNA Communications is the technical platform for music downloads from www.musicbon.de. MACS is the Dortmund telecommunications specialist's high-performance platform for flexible management and professional content marketing. The system offers all the technology to supply and send all kinds of mobile data, such as for example SMS and MMS services, games, ring tones, logos or binary or streamed content like music or videos.
