MATERNA Communications Implements Successful Mobile Marketing Campaign for Austrian Mobile Telephony Brand

MATERNA Communications has developed and conducted a mobile marketing campaign for the mobile telephony provider tele.ring. tele.ring, price leader in the Austrian market, has thus been able to make existing customers acquainted with the tariffs and services in an entertaining and exciting manner.
During the "Paper Chase Campaign" hundreds of tele.ring customers set searched for the right answers. Throughout the 14-day campaign they received links for a special landing page on their mobile phones per text messages and WAP pushes. On the WAP site they had to answer questions about tele.ring's services, charges and options. Clues to the right answer could be found by visiting the WAP portal. For the correct solution there was free content, for example: Wallpaper, Java Games or FunSounds as instant prizes downloaded to the mobile phones. There was also a draw among all participants offering attractive round prizes and a tempting top prize. If customers failed to respond to the WAP push sent more than once, they were opted out automatically.
For tele.ring the aims of the innovative mobile marketing campaign included intensification of customer loyalty, an increase in portal usage and provision of information about the entire tele.ring portfolio. The success of the campaign can now be impressively confirmed: with a well above-average open rate and a high percentage of participants who answered all the questions throughout the entire term of the campaign the result achieved was far beyond expectations.
