MATERNA and BMC Software, a leading provider in the field of Business Service Management, are linked by a close partnership. MATERNA is one of the leading BMC partners in Europe. In recent years the MATERNA experts have implemented more than 600 projects on the basis of BMC products in Germany as well as in Northern and Eastern Europe. More than 250 customers in this segment have entered into support contracts with MATERNA.
At the BMC UserGroup 2007 MATERNA received the prize as the best EMEA partner and is also an ELITE partner and a BSM Certified Solution Partner. This status binds the partners even closer to BMC. In the EMEA area there are a total of only four partners who bear this status.
Since 1 January 2006 MATERNA has been a training partner in Germany and the Scandinavian countries of Sweden, Finland and Denmark for the complete BMC product range. For the participants this means that the BMC product training courses can be carried out using original training documents from the producer thus achieving a higher level of quality.
Since 2005 MATERNA has been a Business Service Management (BSM) Certified Solution Partner of BMC within the BMC partner network. MATERNA has positioned itself as a competent contact partner for enquiries connected with the topic of business Service Management. Companies and organisations interested in BSM can rely on the fact that MATERNA is a high-performance partner for providing advice and implementing BSM projects. Customers benefit on the one hand from their comprehensive know-how in the field of IT Service Management and on the other hand from their expertise in infrastructure topics on the basis of BMC products.
The partnership began back in 1994 with a Value Added Reseller contract between MATERNA and the at that time still independent company Remedy, which was taken over by BMC a few years later.
Service support-based solutions from MATERNA
MATERNA has particularly strong knowledge of BMC products in the field of IT Service Management and ITIL®. In hundreds of projects MATERNA has implemented solutions on the basis of various Remedy products such as the BMC Remedy Action Request System and the Remedy ITSM Suite. The services range from strategy, process and technology consulting through comprehensive implementation services to training and maintenance. With the IT Service Management Framework MATERNA have also developed their own preconfigured solution based on BMC’s Remedy Action Request System.
Service assurance solutions from MATERNA
Another focus of this partnership is on implementing service assurance solutions. For example MATERNA implements projects on the basis of the BMC Performance Manager (formerly known as Patrol). Their competence here lies in the fields of engineering, development, operations, support and training. With more than 20 customers of different sizes and sectors, MATERNA has developed several hundred knowledge modules. For use in IT Service Management, MATERNA has, for example, developed a special monitoring module for the BMC Remedy Action Request System which monitors the availability of the BMC Remedy Action Request server. The activities in the field of BMC Performance Manager include, for example, installation, configuration and implementation, the monitoring of various hardware systems, operating systems and other functions, the migration of Patrol installations, the development of customer specific monitoring modules as well as connections to helpdesk systems.
