Forms Management
Shaping modern business and administration processes with transaction-oriented forms management
Electronic forms coordinate, facilitate and accelerate business and administration processes. They regulate procedures practically and securely, they save time and rationalise the processing of regular and mass cases. That is why a forms management system is an important way for businesses, administrations and end-users to handle communication without users having to change between media.
Modern systems can achieve much more than conventional electronic versions of paper forms. In the same way as in online-banking, structured or semi-structured data are recorded in a user-friendly, interactive way with transaction security.
A design tool which enables XML-based forms to be created without programming skills forms the basis for creating electronic forms. With the help of rules from downstream processes, intelligent input management ensures consistent data even at this stage by carrying out plausibility checks for assured data quality, thus fulfilling the requirements for smooth workflows. The data can be administrated either in a central database or by transferring it to connected specialized procedures. A dedicated output management makes it possible to output the recorded data on paper in all formats.
Intelligent forms support business and administration processes from input to output, their open architecture enables them to be integrated easily so they pay for themselves quickly. MATERNA deploys the product Lucom Interaction Platform® (LIP) from their partner Lucom GmbH which forms the application basis of the FMS base components for the Federal Administration.
Various web-based forms applications, such as travel expenses claims and holiday applications for staff via the intranet or, for example, internal waterways duty payments and internet despatch registration for the customs via the internet, represent just some of the things they can be used for.
Supported by modules such as the Reporting Service, all forms data can be filtered simply and conveniently and can then be evaluated individually. With the help of the SelfRegistration Service module, users can register to use the application without going through an administrator. The availablitiy of their own Service Document Generation means that in future both simple and complex print outputs (PDF) are possible without the previously required output management system StreamServeTM.
