Dortmund, 2017.09.19

Materna, the internationally active IT company, has taken over the German consulting company ComConsult Kommunikationstechnik GmbH, including its Swiss office in Köniz near Bern, effective as of 1 July 2017. This purchase sees Materna intensifying its activities for the cloud. ComConsult is specialized in enterprise service management with solutions from the leading cloud provider ServiceNow. Materna has also been very successful in this segment for many years. By pooling their expertise, a new company will emerge as of 1 January 2018 to be the leading ServiceNow partner in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) with ten locations in Germany and one in Switzerland as well as a nearshore centre in Slovakia.

ServiceNow is one of the world’s fastest growing software providers achieving a turnover of over one billion dollars. More than 3,600 customers are already deploying ServiceNow to control and optimize a wide variety of processes on the basis of the cloud, for example, in their IT, human resources, security and customer services.

The new company’s services include process consultations, architecture consulting and design, project management and full-scale implementation, as well as developing ServiceNow Apps and providing training courses and operational support. The management of the new company will comprise the two managing directors of ComConsult Kommunikationstechnik GmbH, Martin Woyke and Stefan Rolf, together with ServiceNow expert and longstanding head of department at Materna, Ludger Koslowski.

“The ServiceNow market is growing rapidly, so ServiceNow is an important topic for innovation and growth at Materna. We see ourselves as being better positioned on the market with this acquisition. The more than 120 certified experts at ComConsult and Materna’s ServiceNow Competence Centre will soon be present on the market under a new company name”, says Helmut Binder, CEO of the Materna group.

“We will be the new leading specialists for the agile implementation of service processes, making sure that our customized solutions are installed quickly at the customer’s and are put into operation to suit their special requirements”, explains Stefan Rolf, Managing Director at ComConsult Kommunikationstechnik GmbH.

The new organization will be showcasing itself for the first time at the annual ServiceNow event NowForum in Frankfurt, Germany, on 14 November 2017. This is also where the new corporate brand will be launched.
