Materna Intelligent Passenger Solutions (IPS) will be exhibiting at the 2019 Passenger Terminal Expo (PTE) in London with innovative solutions for check-in, automated bag drop, access, biometry and monitoring. From 26 to 28 March, PTE visitors can learn more about hybrid self-service bag drop solutions based on Materna`s standard product range at stand 3060.
Canada’s Montréal-Trudeau Airport (YUL), just like Toronto Airport, is now utilizing automated baggage handling from Materna intelligent passenger solutions (ips) ready to meet the needs of substantial increases in passenger numbers. A total of 16 self-bag-drop kiosks have been in operation at YUL since November 2018. Materna ips installed the solutions and is also providing operational support for the next three years. For the German IT services provider this self-bag-drop project in Montréal is another big step in the context of its activities in North America, and in Canada in particular.
First airport in India introduces fully automated bag-drop system implemented by Materna
After successful installations in Europe and North America, Materna Intelligent Passenger Solutions (IPS) is now entering new markets in Asia with its flagship self bag drop solutions. In the course of their current and planned activities on the Indian market, Materna has founded a company in India.

In the area of self-bag-drop, Denver International Airport (DEN) is becoming a real pioneer in the USA. As part of the ongoing renovation of DEN, the redesigned airline ticket counters in the Great Hall will be equipped with the world's largest installation of self-service equipment.
The airline TUI won three awards at the Real IT Awards (RITA) in London, on 17 May 2018, for the significant service improvements achieved by installing its Self-Service Bag-Drop application at Gatwick Airport. Materna Integrated Passenger Services (IPS) developed the automated check-in and bag-drop systems on behalf of TUI and implemented the self-service project with Gatwick Airport (LGW).
Turnover at the internationally active Materna Group grew by a good 14 percent to reach 254 million Euros in the 2017 business year (turnover 2016: 223 million Euros). During last year, Materna achieved their greatest growth with IT projects for German federal and state public administrations (around 20 percent) as well as with SAP consulting and implementation projects for large and medium-sized industrial companies (around 40 percent).
The IT consulting company Materna will present its solutions portfolio for IoT at Hanover Fair from 23 to 27 April, 2018.
